May is National Mental Health Month, so it is fitting that the theme for this month’s ParentsCARES campaign is about accessing behavioral health supports for teens. Being a teenager can be stressful. It is a time when minds and bodies are growing. Teens are meeting new people, have new demands on their time, and are exposed to new things. Sometimes these situations can be overwhelming and they need support from a professional.
Luckily, 92% of Danvers parents report knowing where to seek professional help if their child is anxious, depressed, or using substances. There are many resources in and out of school, and talking to your child’s pediatrician about any concerns is always a good start.
