Varsity Baseball Team 2022
Program Overview
The boys baseball team at Danvers High School consistently competes at a top level with a tradition of effort, good sportsmanship and strong athletic ability. The program fields three teams within the Northeastern Conference, varsity, junior varsity and freshman, making for a highly competitive selection process in the spring. The goal at all levels is to improve players, while emphasizing technical development, strong team mentality and a love of the game. Our experienced coaching staff brings forth a wealth of knowledge to our boys and has the ability to produce successful teams year after year. The team has laid claim to multiple Northeastern Conference championships, and frequently qualifies for the MIAA state tournament. Our boys reached the D2 State Title game in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Many of our baseball players are dynamic, multi-sport athletes, which allows for them to field multiple positions. Coupled with a long legacy of talented pitchers and strong hitters, the boys baseball team is an exciting team to watch. The success of our boys generates a great sense of pride for the high school and community. Games are well attended by students as well as people in the surrounding area, creating for an exciting, community atmosphere. Some of the best spring nights in the town of Danvers are spent watching the boys baseball team take the field under the lights at Twi Field.
