Boys Varsity Hockey 2021-2022
Program Overview
The Danvers High School boys hockey program holds a long history of excellence throughout the years. There are two boys hockey teams at Danvers High School: varsity and junior varsity. As a Division II program, each team competes at a high level in the Northeastern Conference with the likes of Gloucester, Marblehead, Saugus and Winthrop. The most highly anticipated games of the season are against conference rivals Beverly High School and Peabody High School. Home games take place at Endicott College in the Raymond Bourque Arena.
Highlighting the team’s long and proud history are two Massachusetts State titles in 1994 and 2001. The team also regularly qualifies for the highly competitive MIAA Tournament, often advancing past the initial round.
The Danvers High School hockey program seeks to develop the skills of our hockey players, while stressing the importance of sportsmanship and commitment. The program seeks to instill values in its players that stretch far beyond the rink. We hope that our boys leave the high school hockey program not only as more developed players, but also as matured individuals who value teamwork and dedication.
