Varsity Football 2021

Program Overview

Danvers High School fields football teams at the varsity, junior varsity and freshman level. Competing in the Division III Northeastern Conference, we are in the NEC North Division playing Beverly, Peabody, Marblehead, and Malden.  The Fisherman of Gloucester remain our long-time rival played on Thanksgiving morning.

Varsity games are typically played on Friday nights (6:30pm) from September through November.  JV games are played either on Saturday mornings (10am) or Monday afternoons (4pm) depending on field availability.  Freshman football is played on Thursdays at 4pm, typically.

The football program prides itself on providing its athletes with a competitive atmosphere with an emphasis on character, leadership and teamwork. Danvers High School believes that some of the greatest lessons are learned beyond the classroom. On the field, our athletes display commitment and sportsmanship to themselves, their coaches and their teammates. As student-athletes, our football players learn to balance their various responsibilities, and ultimately become well-rounded individuals and reliable teammates.
