Girls Varsity Ice Hockey 2021-22

Program Overview

The girls hockey program is a co-operative varsity team composed of athletes from Danvers, Beverly, Saugus and Ipswich High Schools. The team began play in 2005 and has grown into a well-acclaimed program within the Northeastern Conference, squaring off against recognized teams within the area such as Marblehead, Masco and Winthrop.

The girls hockey team prides itself on the values of diligence, competition and teamwork. The team dynamic is truly unique to that of other programs at Danvers High School. Teammates must work with one another across towns, an uncommon qualification of most high school teams. Though they do not all attend the same school, our girls often describe their teammates as a second family, illustrating the program’s heavy focus on teamwork. The goal of the girls hockey program is to create an exciting environment for female hockey players to compete at a high level, and develop their skills as both individuals and teammates.
