Program Overview

The girls tennis program at Danvers High School has established a tradition of excellence within the Northeastern Conference. We support a team at both the varsity and junior varsity levels, and compete in singles and doubles play. Our girls are competitive both within the conference and the team itself, and they push each other to constantly improve throughout the season. As a part of the Northeastern Conference, our girls tennis program squares off against talented teams such as Beverly, Marblehead and Swampscott.  Each year, our girls regularly qualify for the Division II MIAA playoffs where they advance well into tournament play.

The girls tennis program focuses its attention on technical skill development and endurance. Our talented coaching staff begins from the ground up, teaching basic skills that lead to more advanced strategies. Coaches pride themselves on introducing their athletes to a sport in which they can participate for life. With this in mind, our coaching staff looks to provide our tennis players with skills that span far beyond a season schedule. The goal of our coaches is to graduate our players from the tennis program with an overall greater skillset, understanding and appreciation of the sport. Danvers High School is proud of its girls tennis program, and anticipates another successful and exciting season.
