Varsity Golf 2021
Program Overview
Danvers High School supports a co-ed fall golf program with teams at the varsity and junior varsity level. As a part of the Northeastern Conference, the golf team faces a rigorous schedule, challenged by many highly skilled teams. The program competes against traditional opponents such as Beverly, Marblehead, Saugus and Winthrop, and each year the team also looks forward to facing off against rival, St. John’s Prep.
The golf program emphasizes team play, skill development and course management, along with the important values of sportsmanship, integrity and commitment. With both an individual and team mentality, the Danvers High School golf program seeks to develop skilled golfers who are also strong leaders and teammates. Under the direction of head coach Ryan Hayes, our student-athletes are pushed to further their golfing skills and abilities, but are also encouraged to become well-rounded student-athletes. Our coaching staff prides itself on introducing athletes to a sport in which they can participate for life. With this in mind, our coaches look to provide our golfers with skills that span far beyond a season schedule.
