Boys and Girls Varsity Spring Track 2022

Program Overview

Danvers High School supports a spring track and field team for both boys and girls across a wide variety of skill levels. No previous experience is needed; in fact, much of the talent on our track and field teams is culled from multi-sport athletes attempting the sport for the very first time. Our coaching staff values the various skillsets that multisport-athletes bring to our track and field teams. Student-athletes are encouraged to try different events, acquiring new skills and passions throughout the season. We find that competing in a variety of events creates for well-rounded athletes who can ultimately help better our team in multiple ways.

The track and field team competes within the Northeastern Conference, toeing the line against local schools such as Marblehead, Peabody and Saugus. Each year the most anticipated meets of the season are against rivals Beverly High School and Swampscott High School.

Talented coaches with a passion for the sport head both of our track and field teams at Danvers High School. Many of our coaches competed at the collegiate level and bring a wealth of experience to our teams. Under their direction, Danvers High School maintains a strong presence among top track teams in the conference and state, and each year our athletes qualify for the State, All-State and the E-Mass Championship meet.
