Boys Varsity Wrestling 2021-22

Program Overview

Established in 2011, the wrestling team has grown from a young, inexperienced team into a local power within the Northeastern Conference. Though some of our athletes have wrestling experience, much of our talent is culled from multi-sport athletes competing within the sport for the first time. Regardless of their previous exposure to wrestling, our program offers all of our athletes the opportunity to develop their skills and find success.

The Danvers High School wrestling team is one that competes within the Northeastern Conference against traditional rivals such as Beverly, Peabody, and Salem, as well as prep schools in the surrounding area. The team also competes in multiple tournaments throughout the winter.

A unique sport, wrestling teaches our student-athletes invaluable skills in commitment, leadership and goal setting. The sport is both individual and team oriented, which challenges our athletes to hold one another accountable for the team’s overall success. Wrestling student-athletes must be independently driven, but also possess a strong team mentality. Under the coaching direction of Tim Rich, our student-athletes are pushed to improve their skills each day while striving to reach their goals. Danvers High School is proud of its wrestling program and greatly anticipates another successful season.
