Danvers Safety Committee

The purpose of the Safety Committee is to ensure the safety and security of Danvers Public Schools, review and reinforce safety procedures, and a line of communication between stakeholders regarding safety.

The Safety Committee consists of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, School Principals, Technology Director, School Committee Chair, Fire Chief, Police Chief, and representatives from the Danvers Teachers Association and Department of Public Works.

Danvers Threat Assessment Team

The threat assessment team is a group of District and School Administration, a School Psychologist, Social Workers, and a DPD School Resource Officer that convene to identify, evaluate, and address threats or potential threats to school security. The Threat assessment team reviews incidents of threatening behavior by students (current and former), parents, school employees, or other individuals and advises officials on responses to the situations as they develop.
