Danvers Public Schools 1:1 Device Program & Connected and Online Program
One-to-One Device Program
For the 2026-2027 school year, we are updating our districtwide one-to-one program and these changes, based on staff and family feedback regarding technology use, will be implemented:
Grades K – 2: Our youngest students will no longer be part of the one-to-one program, and devices will no longer be assigned to each student. Each classroom will have a small set of devices to supplement lessons as needed.
Grades 3 – 5: Students in these grades will be assigned a device, but it will remain at school.
Grades 6 – 8: Grade 6 devices will continue to remain in their homeroom cart. Grade 7 will implement carts in the 2026-2027 school year. Grade 8 will implement carts during the 2027-2028 school year.
Grade 9: The Class of 2030 will begin a new MacBook Neo Lease to Own Program. Families will make annual payments across four years and keep the device when paid in full by graduation. If a family feels they are unable to participate in the program due to a hardship, an alternative device plan will be provided.
Grades 10 – 12: The one-to-one Chromebook program will remain in place. However, if families would like to opt-in to the MacBook Neo Lease to Own Program, they will have the opportunity in the registration window, but still need to pay in full by graduation.
